Scope

The tourism sector is today supported by several platforms capable of disseminating products, services and destinations in a way that has never been seen before.  Multiple platforms connect and promote interactions, exchange information and facilitate centralized access to useful information for both parties. This scenario empowers tourists who are now much more informed and active, both in their search for information and in their decision-making. In this context, communication and information have become two essential variables in the promotion of a service, purpose or tourist destination. In the light of these circumstances, research and scientific production, and expressly the sharing of the results of such research, are gaining in value. Considering this context, the International Conference on Communication, Information and Tourism was created with the aim of teachers and researchers from the areas involved sharing knowledge that can contribute to broadening knowledge about communication and information and tourism. Against this backdrop, the main objectives of the conference are:

  • To debate trends in communication and information in tourism;
  • Promote exchange, networking and partnerships between institutions and researchers;
  • Encourage new tourism promotion strategies
  • Promote the development of scientific knowledge
